AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCER
In the world of explorers, that is what I would call myself, An Authentic Experiencer. I am a native Indian, born and brought up in the North(mostly in the cities around the Capital: New Delhi). As my father works for the Government of India, due to frequent transfers into different towns, I have travelled a lot in that way of life.
With a foot in both worlds, I appreciate the understated beauty of natural and cultural environments. I enjoy using all of my senses while exploring and get to know the places I visit. I quickly adapt to personal challenges and risks, easily figuring out how to make the most of every situation. I want to be fully immersed in my travel experience and stay away from group tours and rigid plans.
I feel I am very Spontaneous, Discrete, Ethical, Eco-Conscious, Independent, Open-Minded and Curious towards the world as a traveller. I am not fond of the lavish and luxurious travel which the world is shifting to these days. I am still an old school human who gets excited to see the local culture.
I also feel that I am an Understated Traveller. Travel is only one of my interests in life. That’s not to say that I don’t appreciate a good vacation! I am naturally drawn to beautiful landscapes. I also enjoy getting to know the locals and their stories while I am on vacation. Generally, I wouldn’t say I like to plan too far in advance. I prefer to go with the flow and allow days to unwind as they will. I love to check out attractions and events I encounter along the way.
I precisely like a specific type of places I love to travel to like, Nature Reserves, World Heritage Sites, Hiking Trails, Museums, Home-Stays and Campsites. This doesn’t mean that I don’t like to travel to Morden cities or don’t like partying in clubs when I go to a new place, but I would always prefer local culture to Morden Infrastructure.
With travel, comes Values. I feel there are four values which are important for me in terms of travelling experience.
- Learning Travel – like to learn everything about a place, time, or culture
- Nature – enjoy vast natural settings and wonders
- Cultural Immersion – prefer integrating into the local culture
- Personal Development – seek self-improvement through understanding others
