About Me

The hospitality servicing industry occupies an increasingly significant position in the modern global economy. As a native citizen of India, I have witnessed first-hand the importance of focusing not only on customers but also on the international community as a whole.
A dynamic hospitality professional is currently working with TJX Corporation as a Sales Associate and pursuing PBD in Managing Festivals and Events at Thompsons Rivers University to become more competitive in the future workplace.
Also, choosing Canada as my study destination was to learn something new beyond my home country’s boundaries where I can become independent on my own and get to meet new people and experience their culture. Canadian education has the modern technical education and training techniques required to let a student grow in his endeavours for future excellence, unlike the Indian education system. India is a country that has banked on the values of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava,’ where the Guest is considered to be an incarnation of the Almighty. The profession is not only profit-oriented but also exciting and full of colourful funs and challenges. I am highly impressed with the industry’s growth and the prospects of career development in the sector of Hospitality Management. This course emphasizes the development and enhancement of transferable intellectual and study skills highly relevant to contemporary business and management careers in this booming industry.
As per my personality and inclinations, it was not difficult for me to choose a career path.
As my character reflects traits of an EXTROVERT, I am inclined to interact with people, travelling and working in a flexible environment because the hospitality industry was an apt option for a career of choice and success. I decided to pursue my career in this industry because the hospitality industry is one of the fastest-growing industries, whose great variety makes it very interesting to work.
I have never thought about the fascination and the opportunities which I can have after studying hospitality management. I pursued Hotel Management, Catering and Tourism from one of India’s most renowned institutions, IHM (Institute of Hotel Management). It was one of the most important three years of my life. In these three years, I realized one BIG thing: “Working in the Hospitality Industry doesn’t seem as Luxurious, as Fascinating and as Money Making Machine as it looks from the OUTSIDE. There is a lot of effort which goes to make that Front Picture.
After my graduation, I have vast experience in the Hospitality field. For the past four years, I have worked with different Hospitality brands. I started my career as an Intern with DoubleTree by Hilton, a Co-Op program, during my graduation. Post that, I was hired as a Management Trainee by Aamby Valley City, where I started working as Assistant Banquet Manager.
It was then 2018 when I got an opportunity to take my talent internationally and polish it. I worked for one of the most reputed organization in the United States of America named Hyatt Regency Dallas, as I went there as an International Intern and worked in various positions. I shadowed with different Heads of Departments like the food and beverage manager, the Bar Manager and a lot more in other sectors of the Food and Beverage Department. It was indeed an excellent experience for me. Post that, I worked for an Event company as the Head of Operations and then with a Fine Dining Restaurant chain as the Area Operations Manager.
Many things can be negotiated, but to me, the one thing that must always stay consistent is good customer service. Quality customer care turns single-time buyers into long term clients, and I believe investment in client comfort and security will always result in returns, especially in the hospitality industry. Simultaneously, I learned first-hand the strong leadership and organization combined with customer service were the key factors dictating resorts and restaurants’ success throughout the area.
Inclination plays an essential role in choosing a career path for ourselves. I wish to turn my interest in expertise and expertise into a career. I am highly optimistic about gaining proficiency in this industry to have a life that I have ever dreamt of.
